About Me

Hi, I’m Georgia!

I am a social worker with experience in working with young people and families in a number of settings. I’ve worked in acute youth mental health, and I’ve supported people with complex mental health conditions and drug and alcohol use challenges.

I have training in family therapy, child protection, domestic violence, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and management of suicidal risk.  I love being a social worker and working ‘systemically’ with families. This means that every young person, couple and family I work with needs different things, and gets treated in the way that works best for them.

So sometimes I work with everyone together, sometimes I work with each person individually, and sometimes it’s a mix of both! I also know that sitting down and talking isn’t everyone’s favourite way to get their thoughts and feelings out, so sometimes I work out of an office, and other times, I work in nature, or while doing an activity together.

I’m keen to find out how we can work together, feel free to send me an email or give me a call if you have any questions!

Training includes
  • Family Therapy
  • Child Protection
  • Domestic Violence
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Management of Suicidal Risk

On a personal note…

I always have thought the expectation to share so much without knowing anything about your therapist is odd, so here’s a bit about me.

I love the beach. I’m the mum of an energetic toddler and an even more energetic dog! My favourite place to be is in nature, sat under a tree. And my favourite thing about my job is getting to know all different kinds of people from different walks of life. I am constantly being amazed at how resilient people can be in really difficult situations, and this keeps me coming back to the work I love.
